On July 6, 2015, a group of modern-day musical “outlaws” joined forces at the Moody Theater in Austin, Texas, to pay tribute to Waylon Jennings, who died in 2002.
Today (April 7), a new two-disc recording (CD and DVD) of the concert has been released, and CMT will premiere the two-hour broadcast tonight at 10 p.m. ET.
Outlaw: Celebrating The Music of Waylon Jennings features performances, interviews and behind-the-scenes footage with Willie Nelson, Eric Church, Chris Stapleton, Sturgill Simpson, Kris Kristofferson, Toby Keith, Alison Krauss, Kacey Musgraves, Ryan Bingham, Jamey Johnson, Lee Ann Womack, Shooter Jennings, Buddy Miller, Jessi Colter, Robert Earl Keen and Bobby Bare.
